Spring break in full spring… I mean, swing

Day one saw some serious productivity. I finally changed the outlets in the soon-to-be nursery. Now the white paneling is complemented by four white outlets and faceplates. It looks pretty good, and I didn’t zap myself, so that’s a bonus. It wasn’t all smooth sailing, though. Donna and I had to map out the circuit box, and the last outlet was wired to a ceiling fan in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the living room. Donna got a good laugh when I crossed the wires and turned on the bedroom switch, only to hear the beeping of the fan in living room. I got it figured out eventually, thank you very much.

This afternoon, I created a scratch project describing the basics of Scratch, an application from MIT for programming flash animations and games. It’s designed for kids, and I’m hoping to get more students in class to use it. It’s a ton of fun to use, like building a computer program out of Legos.

Tonight, it’s off to our friends’ house for life group. The people that host it always cook up some seriously good food, and we always have a good time eating and discussing the Bible and praying.
